37TH NATIONAL GAMES GOA 2023: JYOTHI YARRAJI PRAISES RELIANCE FOUNDATION

Jyothi Yarraji has produced sensational results over the last couple of years at the Asian level and rewritten National records. That is the kind of impact the training at Reliance Foundation under coach James Hillier, has had on the 24-year-old hurdler who has been spearheading Andhra Pradesh team here at the 37th National Games Goa 2023.

Jyothi improved her own National Games record of 13.30 seconds set in 2022 in Gujarat, with a 13.22s timing in the 100m hurdles event before taking AP to victory in the 4x100m Relay with a timing of 45.61s.

Jyothi, who won a silver medal in Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, praised the training programme and equipment facilities at Reliance Foundation.

James Hillier of Reliance Foundation, expressed his happiness at Jyothi’s display. “The last race of the season…it was really about finishing the season on a high and giving us the confidence in the next year. It is a big, big year, next year is,” says Hillier with Paris Olympics 2024 being the target.

Jyothi has a personal best of 12.78 seconds and yet to achieve Paris Olympic Games qualification time.
