The 37th National Games will be held in Goa from 25th October to 9th November this year, and to raise the awareness, the customary ‘Mashaal’ was launched today in the presence of the Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, at the DurbarHall-Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula. The ‘Theme Song’, which is sung by Amitabh Bachchan, was also released on the occasion. India team member and top IQ Foiler – Katya Coelho handed over the torch to the Governor.
Union Minister of State for Tourism, Shripad Naik, Sports Minister, Govind Gaude, PWD Minister, Nilesh Cabral, Rodolfo Fernandes were present among others.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the torch relay, which begins on Saturday morning from Raj Bhavan, will be a proud moment for the Goans and will spur their energy across all the venues of the National Games in the state.
