Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired the 55th IFFI 2024 Review Meeting with Entertainment Society of Goa and senior government officials at the Mantralaya, Porvorim. The International Film Festival of India will be held from November 20th to 28th, 2024.
The Chief Minister discussed essential details for the smooth organisation of IFFI 2024, reviewed key deliverables, and instructed all Line Departments to provide the necessary support in terms of permissions and executions.
This year, a special ‘IFFI Parade’ will be organised from ESG to Kala Academy on the 22nd November. The six winners of the Carnival and Shigmotsav Parades will showcase their creativity, offering a global platform to celebrate Goa’s rich cultural heritage.
Chief Secretary, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, DGP Goa, Alok Kumar, IPS, Director DIP, Dipak Bandekar were present among others.
“A new venue, Aguada Helipad has been added to IFFI’s venue list and we shall also host a Special Art Exhibition along Yog Setu, in Panaji. I am pleased to note that 3,659 film enthusiasts have registered for the festival, and we look forward to welcoming many more delegates. The Goa Government is committed to ensuring that IFFI 2024 is a monumental success,” informed Dr Sawant.
