Goa will present its tableau at the 76th Republic Day cultural pageantry to be held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi on January 26, 2025.
The Goa tableau at the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi will be presented under the auspices of Department of Information and Publicity, Government of Goa
This year, Goa will present its colorful float on the theme “Swarnim Bharat, Virasat aur Vikas” which means ‘Golden India, Heritage and Development’ depicting Goa’s rich culture and progress.
The fabrication work of the tableau which commenced at Rashtriya Rangashala Camp, Delhi Cantt., New Delhi on December 26, 2024 is totally ready. A team of 30 Goans led by well known Goan artist Sushant Khedekar and Purnanand Paidarkar; and comprising of artisans, fabricators, carpenters, structurists, PoP and fibre work personnel.
The performing artists team is led by Dinesh Priolkar; choreography by Nishad, costumes by Sangeeta and Avani Khedekar; whereas music is composed by Dr. Saish Deshpande. Other well-known artists, fabricators and artisans who are involved in fabrication includes Pandurang Shet, Suresh Varekar, Vallabh Chari, Pralhad Shilkar, Viraj Teli, Sudesh Shetkar, Mahesh Kumbhar, Gauresh Shetkar, Kushali Shetkar, Shekhar Kumbhar, Satish Kumbhar, Shri Vinayak Kumbhar, Ashok Jalmi, Anup.
Sagar Naik Mule, a talented Kaavi Artist who travelled with Goa’s Red Soil to the capital of the country added the Goan touch with his artwork on the tableau. The logistic support is extended by Soham Ghate.
The dress rehearsal for the Republic Day Parade was held for four days i.e on January 17, 18, 20 and January 21 in the National Capital; whereas the full dress rehearsal will be held on January 23, 2025 at Kartavya Path.
The Goa Tableau along with tableau of other states will also be displayed in front of Red Fort at New Delhi for public view as part of the Bharat Parv celebration from January 26 to 31, 2025. During this period there will be cultural performances of artist from respective states.
