Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant hoisted the National Flag and addressed the people at the State-Level celebrations to mark the 78th Independence Day 2024, at old Secretariat, Panaji.

The Chief Minister presented Presidents Fire Service Medal to Director of Fire & Emergency Services, Nitin V. Raikar for his Meritorious Services.
Dr. Sawant presented Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Public Training to Arun D. Bakre, PI, and Mahesh G. Sawal, ASI. Jeevan Raksha Padak Award 2024 was presented to Sahil Bhiso Lad from Valpoi.
The Chief Minister laid a wreath at the memorial of freedom fighters and hoisted National flag at Patradevi-Pernem. Union MoS for Power, Shripad Naik, Pernem MLA, Pravin Arlekar & other dignitaries were also present.
The Chief Minister flagged off Tiranga Rally organised by Goa Miles from Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao.
Over at Porvorim, Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Ramesh Tawadkar in the presence of Dy. Speaker Joshua De Souza hoisted the National flag at Assembly Complex, Porvorim.
Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai hoisted the National Tricolour at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula.
