Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant flagged off the Kadamba Transport Corporation busses to Bengaluru, with a total of 80 teachers set to undergo an 11-day Residential Teachers’ Training Programme organised by State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) Goa at Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) from 20th June to 1st July, 2024.
These teachers comprise educators of Science and Mathematics subjects. Secretary (Education), Prasad Lolayekar, IAS, Director, SCERT, Meghana Shetgaonkar among others, were also present for the flag off.
The trip to Bengaluru comes on the back of a Capacity-Building Workshop on “Leveraging Generative AI for Pedagogical Excellence in Higher Education”, which was organised by the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) and Goa state Higher Education Council, recently. The event saw voluntary participation from 288 educators across various disciplines of 65 higher education institutions (HEI)s in Goa, eager to enhance their teaching methodologies with cutting-edge AI technologies.
