Government High School, Maina-Quepem, emerged champions in the boys and girls U-17 Kho-Kho tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA) at the PJN open ground, Fatorda.
In the boys final, Govt. High School, Maina Quepem beat Govt. High School, Hankhane Pernem, by a margin of 3 points. The final score was 9-6.
Shree Balram Residential High School, Canacona, drubbed St. Michael High School, Taleigao, 12-02 in the third place match.
In the girls final, Govt. High School, Maina Quepem defeated Govt. High School, Hankhane Pernem by 1 point as both the teams slugged it out in a close contest that finished with a scoreline of 6-5.
In the third -place match, Shree Balram Residential High School, Amone Canacona, defeated Dayanand Bandodkar Memorial High School, Verem, 12-01.
