‘The Goa Model’ in the health sector is witnessing an all-round positivity with various initiatives being implemented including the ambitious ‘Free IVF Treatment’ under the leadership of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.
Whether it is the emergency services of all types, childcare or holistic mental healthcare, ‘The Goa Model’ seems all geared up to deliver. And to top it all, the Health Minister has been on record stating that the ‘Free IVF Treatment’ at Goa Medical College is the first of its kind service not just in the country but also a global first.
The 108 Ambulance Service has just completed 15 years in Goa. On the occasion, Rane announced that 6 more advanced ambulances have been added to the fleet. They consist 2 Drop-back ambulances, 2 Neonatal ambulances & 2 ALS ambulances. Early Child Development (ECD) Call Centre has also been launched. The call centre aims to educate and spread awareness about the best practices during pregnancy and early years of child development.
Two dedicated ambulances will be placed along the state roads, especially highways, for rapid accident victim response. These ambulances will be operated under the Directorate of Health Services by the GVK. One ambulance each will be deployed in each district, Rane posted on his social media.
‘TeleManas’ is a comprehensive 24×7 tele-mental health service that offers a wide range of services to address various mental health issues with utmost privacy to its users.
“I am fortunate to be the Health Minister of Goa for last 12 years. I will always keep making efforts for betterment of the health services of the state,” stated Rane amidst a flurry of reforms illuminating the state’s medical infrastructure.
