Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant inaugurated Science Film Festival of India (SCI-FFI)- 2024 at Entertainment Society of Goa complex, Panaji on Tuesday.
The festival, which will conclude on 2nd February, has been organised by Vidnyan Parishad, Goa & Department of Science & Technology, Government of Goa.
In his address on the occasion, Dr Sawant stated that the films at SCI-FFI is a great platform to take the young minds on a journey of scientific discovery. With their compelling narrative and provocative documentaries, these films can inspire the next generation of scientists, added the Chief Minister.
Also present at the inaugural function was Vice-Chairperson of ESG, Delilah Lobo. Director, S,T & WM,Govt. of Goa, Dr. Levinson Martins; National Organising Secretary,VIBHA, Dr. Shivkumar Sharma; President, Vidnyan Parishad, Goa, Suhas J. Godse; Vice-Chancellor, Goa University, Prof. Harilal Menon.
