The annual ‘Shigmotsav’ float parade illuminated Panaji today. Shigmo, a lively festival celebrated in Goa, dazzled spectators with its colorful parades, traditional folk dances and captivating cultural performances.
As the Lok Sabha elections are scheduled, the Chief Electoral Office took part in the Shigmo float parade to promote voter awareness and engagement. Represented by election officials and the election icon, the presence of Chief Electoral Office underscored the importance of achieving 100 per cent voter turn out in Goa.
The message “My Vote, My Power, My Duty” echoed through the parade, urging citizens to exercise their democratic right to vote and actively participate in the electoral process. This initiative reinforces democratic values such as inclusivity, civic responsibility, and community engagement.
