Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 on the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity” at a function organised by the Directorate of Vigilance at Porvorim.
Principal Secretary to Finance, Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS administered the Vigilance Awareness Week pledge to senior bureaucrats.
Director of Vigilance, Yashaswini B. IAS; Superintendent of Police ACB/ Vigilance, Nelson Albuquerque were also present.
The day commemorates the first Deputy Prime Minister and first Home Minister of India, ‘Sardar’ Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary.
“It is our collective responsibility to work to eliminate corruption and enhance good governance for the people. Together we shall work to achieve it with our efforts in the service of the people,” emphasised the Chief Minister.
The Vigilance Awareness Week will be celebrated till 3rd November, 2024.
