In order to tap the raw talents from villages and develop their potential into a competitive prospects, the Government of Goa has launched Khelo Goa Centre in the disciplines of Kabbadi, Volleyball and Archery.
Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Govind Gaude graced the launching ceremony organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at Ponda Sports Complex.
Children from the age group of 10 to 15 years (boys and girls) will be eligible to train at the centre, which will be functioning daily for trainees from surrounding villages. Director Sports and Youth Affairs, Arvind Khutkar was also present for the launch event.
