Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Wednesday, launched Kadamba Transport Limited Corporation’s ‘Smart Transit Card’ under the tagline ‘One Card, Many Destinations.’
This innovative service is expected to revolutionise commuting by enabling seamless, cashless travel across all KTCL buses, including those operated under the ‘Maji Bus’ initiative.
The Chief Minister handed over the first batch of cards to students, senior citizens, women, and other commuters, in presence of Transport & Panchayat Minister, Mauvin Godinho, MLA & KTCL Chairman, Ulhas Tuenkar.
“I commend KTCL for this forward-thinking initiative, which aligns with our vision for a more efficient and eco-friendly transportation network,” remarked Dr Sawant.
The Smart Transit Card KTCL comes with following exclusive benefits among other:
•50% discount for students and senior citizens
•10% discount for first-time users
•Applicability on inter-state KTCL buses, ensuring enhanced convenience for travelers
