CHUBBY CHEEKS SPRING VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL &SHREE MAHALASA NARAYANI HIGH SCHOOL BAG GOA YOUNG INNOVATOR’S AWARD 2024-25

Goa State Innovation Council (GSInC) hosted the finals of the Goa Young Innovator’s Award 2024-25 at Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda. This initiative aims to recognise and encourage young students from across Goa to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

The event was graced by Ankit Yadav, IAS, Director of the Department of Science, Technology & Waste Management and Managing Director of Goa Waste Management Corporation, as the chief guest. He commended the efforts of the young participants and highlighted the importance of fostering innovation from an early age.

The competition, open in two categories (Class VIII-IX and Class V-VII), saw an overwhelming response from students, who presented original and creative ideas. The projects were judged on originality and usability, ensuring that they address practical challenges with innovative solution

Chubby Cheeks Spring Valley HS, Pilerne, and Shree Mahalasa Narayani HS, Verna, excelled the respective categories of the competition.

The event featured an exhibition and project display from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, where visitors, including school students, teachers, and industry professionals, had the opportunity to interact with the young innovators and learn about their ideas. The prize distribution ceremony was held from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM, where the winners of the Goa Young Innovator’s Award 2024-25 were announced.

Speaking at the event, Ankit Yadav, IAS, emphasised the role of young innovators in shaping the future and assured continued support for such initiatives.

The Goa State Innovation Council expressed gratitude to Fr. Kinley and Dr. Neena for their support in providing the venue and ensuring the success of the event. Appreciation was also extended to the GSInC General Body Members, media partners, and the entire organizing team for their dedicated efforts in making the event a grand success.

This event stands as a testament to Goa’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting innovation in the state.
