Steady strong winds welcomed the windsurfers on the final day at Sail Goa 2025 conducted by Goa Yachting Association near the Dolphin Adventure Sports, Hawaii Beach. The location boasts the best sailing venue in Goa, probably India. Three races in the Raceboard and Techno 293OD classes and 3 races in the iQFOiL and Open Foil classes were conducted. And most categories stretched the windsurfers till the last race.
In the iQFOiL Mens category, Sachin Ganesh of TNSA took the fight to S Maneesh Rajaa of AYN till the last race, but fell short by a point and had to concede the gold and settle for silver. Eabad Ali of AYN took the gun in the second last race but it was too little too late for anything better than a bronze.
In the iQFOiL Youth Mens category Vinay V Kulabkar of Navy Boys School Company, Goa took the Gold.
In the iQFOiL Youth women category the Gold was clinched by Ovie Nair Shaffi of INWTC Mumbai.
In the Open Foil Category NS Rawat of INWTC Goa stood proudly on the top rung of the podium ahead of Vedprakash Pathak of AYN Mumbai in Second and Aryan Patidar NSS Bhopal in Third.
In the Raceboard Men’s event Chennaiah from EMESC Bhopal Army Club proved his mettle once again to win Gold ahead of Mithilesh Kumar of AYN, Mumbai while Kamalapti of EMESC, Bhopal took bronze.
In the Raceboard U21 Boys category Raj Santosh Patil of Yachting Association of Maharashtra (YAM), maintained his lead to win the Gold medal while Narayan Munda of Odisha Yachting Association won silver and Sai Patil of YAM won Bronze.
In the Raceboard U21 Girls category Prarthana Bhoi of NSS Bhopal finished first while Tejasvi Prajapati of NSS Bhopa came second. M K Pragathi of TNSA pulled up a surprise to finish third ahead of Thimiti Rashmita.
In the Techno U15 Girls category Vaishnavi Kajale MG&G Area Sailing club of Army continued her fightback and good form to win both the races today to beat Naavya Kaku of YAM by just 1 point to take the Gold and Priyanshi Mayur Patil of YAM took the Bronze.
In the Techno 293OD U15 Boys category Udaiveer Singh Johal of MG&G Area Sailing club took the Gold ahead of Mohit Mhatre of YAM and Sohan Rajput of NSS Bhopal.
President YAI, Adm. KB Singh (Retd), former Chief of Naval Staff was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony, at the Dolphin Adventure Sports, Hawaii Beach Dona Paula. He praised the Goa Yachting Association for the smooth conduct of the event and congratulated all the windsurfers for their great performance. Other dignitaries present at the event were Capt. Dixit, Honorary Jt. Sec. Gen of YAI, Col. Johal, CEO TOPS.
