Government of Goa has announced Memorandum of Understanding in the space of AI, skill development and renewable energy.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant witnessed the MoU signing between the Government of Goa and Google LLC to integrate AI in governance, advancing smarter, faster, and inclusive public services.
The collaboration will focus on AI-driven service automation, land monitoring, emergency response, and multilingual citizen access. Google will also support AI training for staff and youth.
The Chief Minister also witnessed the signing of an MoU between the Directorate of Higher Education and the Foundation for Skill Development (FSD) to launch nine job-oriented certificate courses in partnership with Higher Educational Institutions.
These 30-hour courses, offered in online and offline modes, will equip students with skills in Accounting, Taxation, Business Communication, and Artificial Intelligence, enhancing their employability.
An MoU between NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL) and GEDA for developing 300 MW+ Renewable Energy projects, has also been announced.
“This is a major step towards achieving a Green Goa, boosting clean energy, green jobs, and sustainable infrastructure in the state,” remarked Dr Sawant.
