Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated a Health Centre-cum-Recreational Hall and laid foundation stone for upgradation & renovation of the football ground at Merces, on Saturday. St Cruz MLA Rudolf Fernandes was also present.
Dr Sawant revealed that the health centre has provisions to function as a non-bedded PHC with functions of a OPD, Casualty, Dialysis centre, Pharmacy and ambulance service (108) being catered for.
The Chief Minister also announced that the football ground will be revamped at a whopping cost of Rs 9 crore, within one year.
