Minister for River Navigation, Subhash Phal Dessai laid the Keel for two new faster ferryboats having capacity of 8 cars and 200 passengers, at Vijai Marine Services Shipyard, Loutolim, on Thursday. Saligao MLA Kedar Naik was also present.
Vijai Marine Services had recently built two Ro-Ro Ferries, which the government has praised for its modern technology and commissioned on the Chodan-Ribandar route in Tiswadi taluka. Earlier this year, a superyacht RA 11 had been launched to boost high-end tourism in Goa.
