The All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) – Goa Unit, in collaboration with the Goa Badminton Association (GBA), will be hosting an exciting State Badminton Team Championship on Sunday, December 7, at the Indoor Stadium, Campal. The one-day tournament will feature eight franchise-owned teams, competing in a high-energy league format.
The event offers substantial prize money, with ₹70,000 for the champions and ₹40,000 for the runners-up, along with attractive trophies. The participating teams include Born Stars (Chinmay Fallary), Icy Ice Legends (Sameer Redkar/Arijeet Raikar), Viva Smashers (Santosh Kamat/Divyesh Shirsat), Power Smashers (Nitin Mayekar), Bling Rangers (Saiesh Prabhu), Tax Gladiators (Lee Ferrao), Magic Touch (Rajesh Repal), and Margao High Flyers (Ehrlick de Ataide).
Goa’s top-ranked badminton stars will light up the courts, promising a day of thrilling competition. Leading players such as Shaheen CK, Arjun Fallary, Aryaman Saraf, Aswin M, Kamlesh Kanji, Tejan Fallary, Sanath Kamat, Ayaan Shaikh, Jatinder Singh, Floyd Araujo, Navneet Nasnodkar, Anaya Kamat, Aarya Metri, and Riya Haldankar will be seen in action.
The championship will also feature rising talents from outdoor circuits, including Divyesh Sirsat, Avdhut Saptoji, Mohammad Nadaf, and Siraj Wadkar, ensuring a blend of experience, power, and youthful flair.
