Goa’s Masters (veterans) badminton players Dr. Manju Khandeparker. Pradeep Dhond, Tanaji Sawant and Dr. Satish Kudchadkar put up commendable performances at the Yonex-Sunrise All India Masters Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026 held in Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
Dr Manju, teaming up with Mamta Rani Yadav, struck Gold in the Women’s Doubles 60+ event and also secured a Bronze medal in the Mixed Doubles 60+ alongside Dhrubajyoti Sharma. In the Men’s Doubles 70+ category, Pradeep Dhond combined with fellow Goan Tanaji Sawant to win the Silver medal. Veteran shuttler Dr Satish Kudchadkar showcased exceptional stamina and skill, clinching Silver in Men’s Singles 80+ and adding a Bronze in Men’s Doubles 80+ with outstation partner Chandrashekarappa B.
Congratulating the achievers, Manoj Patil, President, Goa Badminton Association, said, “Our Masters players continue to be shining examples of determination and perseverance, travelling far and wide to compete at the highest level.” He added, “Their success reinforces the message that fitness and passion know no age, truly echoing the spirit that sport is a lifelong journey, not a short race.”
