48TH INDIAN MASTERS BADMINTON: SATISH KUDCHADKAR, MANJIRI, RUPCHANDRA, ROSELINE, FALLARY LEAD GOA’S MARCH ON DAY 2

Dr Satish Kudchadkar, Manjiri Moktali, Rupchandra Humraskar, Roseline Bunyan and Chinmay Fallary were among the standout Goan performers on day two of the Yonex-Sunrise 48th Indian Masters (Veteran) National Badminton Championships 2025-26 at Goa.

Fallary continued his impressive run in Men’s Singles, edging past Jose Mathew (KER) in a thrilling three-game contest to seal his place in the main draw. Meanwhile, in main draw matches, Manjiri Moktali registered a hard-fought victory against Aley Cherian (TN) in WS 55. In MS 60, Rupchandra Humraskar notched a win over Achumi Yekhuvi (NAG), while Roseline Bunyan progressed in WS 70.

Veteran shuttler Dr Satish Kudchadkar also impressed, advancing to the quarterfinals in MS 80 with a dominant win over Damodar Thombre (MAH).

The championship, organised by the Goa Badminton Association in aegis with the Badminton Association of India and powered by Raisoni Foundation, witnessed top seeds continuing to assert dominance with Rathan Nahar (KTK) and Atul Kulkarni (MAH) advancing in MS 55, while Ram Lakhan (PNB) and Suresh Ayyappan (MAH) progressed comfortably in MS 60. Notable upsets included Nandkishore Kulkarni (KTK) defeating Harmeet Singh Anand (RAJ) and Dolatsing Dodiya (GUJ) knocking out eighth seed Lalrinkima R. In the 70+ category, Inderpal Verma (BHR) stunned top seed Balbir Singh Jamwal (J&K).
