In a significant national recognition for innovation in governance, Goa-IDC’s initiative, “Leveraging Digital Public Good (DPG) for Enhancement of Ease of Doing Business in Goa,” has been conferred the Gold Award at the prestigious The Economic Times GovTech Awards 2026 under the category Smart Governance Excellence Award. The award was presented by The Economic Times to Minister for Transport, Industries, Trade & Commerce, Panchayat Raj, Protocol & Hospitality and Legislative affairs, Mauvin Godinho in recognition of the Corporation’s pioneering efforts in smart governance and digital transformation.
The award recognises Goa-IDC’s commitment to adopting digital innovation and transformative governance practices aimed at creating a more efficient, transparent and industry-friendly ecosystem in the State of Goa. The initiative reflects Goa-IDC’s focused efforts towards strengthening the Ease of Doing Business framework by leveraging Digital Public Goods to deliver smarter, faster and more accessible services to stakeholders.
