GOA AI DRAFT POLICY 2026 OPEN FOR PUBLIC FEEDBACK IN 15-DAY WINDOW

The Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C), Government of Goa, has released the Draft Goa AI Policy 2026 for public review from today. Citizens and stakeholders are invited to share their suggestions and feedback within the next 15 days.

The draft policy lays out the state’s vision and roadmap for the development and use of artificial intelligence in Goa. It has been prepared after consultations with industry experts and academia, with the aim of creating a forward-looking and inclusive framework. The policy aligns with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and seeks to position Goa as a creative and technology-driven state.

The document focuses on building skills among the workforce, supporting startups and industries working in AI, encouraging investments, strengthening governance systems and improving digital infrastructure across the state.

Through these efforts, the government aims to create opportunities for innovation, job creation and sustainable growth.

All stakeholders, including citizens, industry representatives, startups, academic institutions and members of civil society, are encouraged to participate in this consultation process. Public input will play a key role in shaping a policy that is practical, inclusive and beneficial for all sections of the society.

The draft policy is available on the official Goa State Portal (https://www.goa.gov.in/) and the Goa Online Portal (https://goaonline.gov.in/). Feedback can be submitted via email at dir-dit.goa@nic.in within the consultation period.

Through this initiative, the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITE&C) aims to build a strong and inclusive AI ecosystem in the state, ensuring that the benefits of emerging technologies reach all sections of society while promoting innovation within the state.
