Shash Grewal will be releasing her memoirs, “Crisis to salvation, from shallows to sovereignty” at the International Centre Goa (ICG) on Saturday, September 26th at 6pm. The event is free and open to the public.
According to a media release, the Panaji-based Shash – author, singer, scripturalist – is the great grand-daughter of PC Mahalanobis, the father of Indian Statistics and Triguna Sen, Padma Bhushan awardee and first vice-chancellor of the Jadavpur University.
Hailing from this esteemed lineage, it is no surprise that Shash is a lady of many parts. An economics honours graduate with a specialisation in mathematics from the Delhi University, Shash also is the recipient of the “Sangeet Ratna” in Tagore’s work and “Sangeet Visharad” in Hindustani classical music.
As a vocalist, she has performed in most reputed auditoriums, lent her voice as a playback singer for television, FM Radio, and released a personal album, “Rehmat, Mehr Shukrana” in 2014.
Today, she continues to share her perspectives as a scriptural speaker, through her digital home https://www.shashgrewal.com, which hosts hundreds of her published blogs and motivational write ups.
Shash also had a short stint in the high-performance Bollywood industry, which altered her perspectives towards life permanently. Her memoirs are based largely on her experiences in Bollywood.
Shash’s present-day activities serve as a sanctuary of substance, dedicated to providing the discerning seeker with a path towards God. Says the newly minted author, “I wrote this book to satisfy an unyielding hunger for truth, but now it serves as a lighthouse for those who are trying to navigate through their own transformation.”
