The Goa Science Centre, Miramar, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, will organise a four-day ‘Chitari Heritage Art Workshop’ for homemakers as part of the World Tourism Day celebrations.
The workshop will be held from September 22 to 25, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Goa Science Centre, Miramar. It aims to introduce participants to the traditional Chitari heritage art form and provide them with an opportunity to learn and explore this distinctive aspect of Goa’s cultural heritage through hands-on artistic activities.
The initiative seeks to create greater awareness and appreciation of Goa’s rich cultural traditions and heritage. Through interactive activities, participants will be able to connect with traditional art practices while gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of preserving and promoting Goa’s cultural heritage.
The workshop will offer an engaging experience that brings together creativity, traditional knowledge and cultural learning.
