PANAJI: Goa Technology Association (GTA) has partnered Nasscom future skills initiative, in order to prepare the technical workforce for the future needs of the industry. The Memorandum of Understanding was announced during the GTA Awards Night 2021 on Friday.
‘Future Skills’ essentially is a cluster of rapidly emerging technologies, relevant to the times to come. As Nasscom, which is the premier trade body and chamber of commerce of the Tech industry in India, along with the central government, goes on a mission to empower the skilling revolution in the country; GTA, the only representative body of the technology companies in Goa, has welcomed the development.
“This is an excellent opportunity as GTA partners Nasscom. It will be a big stepping stone to ensure all technical professions are ready for the future,” said GTA President, Milind Anvekar, who highlighted the continuing efforts by the tech-body to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
As the Future Skills Prime initiative is aimed at the 65 percent population of the country, that is below the age of 35; the Nasscom representative expressed confidence that the academic institutions will witness emergence of impact stories.
