MORJIM: Claiming to be a man with massive fan following and living his life to ‘conquer the world with love’, Dr Boby Chemmanur launched his first business venture ‘Boby Oxygen Resorts’ timeshare property in the state at Morjim in North Goa.
“This is our first project in Goa. And we have more in store,” said Dr Boby, whose personal profile seems like an unbelievable cocktail of passion in the field of business, sports, social work and entertainment. “Sports and charity are my passion. And wherever we have business interest, we involve in charity,” declared the Chairman and Managing Director of Boby Group, who goes by the nickname of ‘BoChe’.
During a media briefing, Dr Boby also revealed that he actually had football turf and a sports project in mind for Goa, which would have been a joint-venture along with his ‘soul mate’ and late Argentine football genius Diego Maradona. However, he stated that the project could still see the light of the day as he is in touch with the family of World football legend.
To a query as to why they chose Morjim to open the resort, the Boby Oxygen Resorts top-brass remarked that the village of Pernem taluka offers the peace of South Goa and fun of North Goa.
Currently, ‘Boby Oxygen Resorts’ has resorts in 28 destinations including Thekkady, Munnar, Alappuzha, Ooty, and Mahabaleshwar and now in Goa too. Boby Oxygen Resorts at Morjim, is situated on a hillock about 700 metres from Morjim beach overlooking the Arabian sea.
