PANAJI: Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science, the first and only autonomous college of Goa, has been accredited as Grade A+ by the prestigious National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC) in its fourth cycle of accreditation, thereby becoming the first and only college in the state to achieve this grade, says a press release.
The assessment process consisted of a stringent quantitative and qualitative process ending with a three member visit over two days. The visiting delegation comprised of Vice – Chancellor, Senior Professor and Principal of different institutions from Kashmir, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. They were appreciative of the several unique initiatives undertaken by the College.
The grade brings the College at par with the best institutions in the country. The next accreditation will be due in 2026.
Aditya Chowgule, Vice-President of Chowgule Education Society, congratulated the college administration, teaching and non-teaching staff.
“This hallmark of excellence should be used as a benchmark for taking the college to newer heights The New Education Policy and latest UGC guidelines for Higher Education Institutions have provided great opportunities for autonomous colleges like ours to deliver top quality education and with the NAAC A+ grade, we must rise to fulfil the nation’s aspirations,” said Chowgule.
