PANAJI: ‘The Invisibles’ – an American hip-hop group enthralled local audiences as they performed at Rudy’s Vagator, Goa on the evening of April 28. The group also conducted a workshop for the up-and-coming talent at Vagator.
The musical extravaganza, ‘Bridging Cultures Through Hip-Hop,’ is an initiative presented by the U.S Embassy and Consulates in India, in association with the American Voices, and produced by Teamwork Arts, New Delhi.
An unexpected heavy rainfall at Vagator led the hip-hop crew to improvise the situation and shift the party to a small shelter. Despite this challenge, The Invisibles created an electrifying atmosphere within the audience featuring internationally acclaimed artists, namely Carl “DJ Invisible ” Hollier, Richie “Robot” Steighner, Miz Korona, Hans Pierre and Khary Kimani Turner.
The performance was preceded by a spectacular opening act by the winner of the Bridging Cultures Through Hip-Hop contest- Bongisio- a Konkani rapper from the village of Merces, who focuses on saving the local language with his tracks and contributing to the Konkani hip-hop scene.
The Invisibles next perform in Chennai from May 02 to May 04, 2022, at the Loyola College, states a press release.
