The ‘Swachh Goem, Sundar Goem’ initiative of the Government of Goa endeavours cleanliness across the state via participation of panchayats in particular; whereby the villages and towns have their task cut out with respect to fulfilling their responsibilities related to waste management!

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a review meeting on Solid Waste Management for the ‘Swachh Goem, Sundar Goem’ initiative with Sarpanchas, Panchayat members of Village Panchayats in Bicholim taluka at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali.

ZP CEOs, Panchayat Secretaries, and representatives of successful solid waste management projects shared presentations to accelerate efforts at the village level through active engagement of staff and local communities. Similar review meetings will be organised across all 12 talukas to strengthen this movement.

Achieving ‘Swachh Goem, Sundar Goem’ goal starts with achieving ‘Swachh Village.’ I am confident that these collaborative efforts will bring the desired transformation across the state, stressed the Chief Minister.
