Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation (ABBF), India’s pioneering non-profit organisation working on disability inclusion through Sports alongwith Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities and Department of Empowerment for Persons with disabilities, Goa, have announced an Inclusive Run in collaboration with International Purple Fest.
The run will bring together 500 persons with and without disabilities to participate in a shared sporting experience, breaking barriers and fostering empathy. The event will take place on October 12, 2025 in Panaji. The participants will run side by side, demonstrating that true inclusion is possible when opportunities are shared.

Speaking on the announcement, Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai stated: “Purple Fest has become a symbol of Goa’s commitment to inclusion and accessibility. This Inclusive Run is a powerful way to showcase how sports can unite us, break barriers, and build empathy across communities. This run will leave a lasting message that accessibility and participation must be a part of everyday life.”
Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, added: “Purple Fest is not just an event; it is a movement for change. The Inclusive Run is a reminder that when people with and without disabilities come together as equals, society moves closer to true inclusivity”.
Echoing this spirit, Divyanshu Ganatra, Founder of ABBF, stated: “At ABBF, we believe sport has the power to break all kinds of barriers between people. Partnering with Purple Fest allows us to showcase this belief in action, and help make one of India’s most vibrant platforms even more inclusive”.
