Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant graced the Jayanti Utsav of Shenoi Goembab at Bicholim. The event was organised by the Goa Konkani Akademi and Divchal Konkani Seva Kendra. Bicholim MLA, Dr. Chandrakant Shetye was also present among others.
Underling the contribution of Shenoi Goembab to Konkani, the Chief Minister paid rich tributes to the legendary Goan regarded as the Father of Konkani Movement.
Dr Sawant emphasised on the cultural ethos and inclusivity values of Shenoi Goembab, who worked tirelessly for Konkani but also respected other languages and literature. “Let us honour his legacy and take it forward,” remarked the Chief Minister.
