The All-India Civil Service Chess Tournament 2024 -2025 commenced at Peddem Sports Complex, Mapusa on Thursday.
Secetary for Sports & Youth Affairs, Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, inaugurated the tournament, which is organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs in collaboration with Central Civil Service Cultural and Sports Board.
Around 35 men’s and 32 women’s chess teams from various States/ Union Territories and Civil Services Regional Sports/ Board are participating in this mega event where 500 athletes will showcase their chess talent at the national platform.
Director Sports & Youth Affairs, Arvind Khutkar, Dy. Director, Sports and Youth Affairs, Dr. Vivek Pawar & others were also present.
