Department of Fisheries will organise the 7th edition of the Aqua Goa Mega Fish Festival 2024 from 2nd to 4th February at Campal, Panaji. The festival will showcase Goa’s rich, varied variety of fishes through its Aquarium Gallery. Workshops, competitions and other events will also be part of the three-day event that endeavours to create awareness about business and career prospects in the fisheries sector.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, Fisheries Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar graced a promotional flag-off ceremony for the said event on Tuesday morning at Porvorim. Sarpreet Singh Gill, (IAS) Secretary, Fisheries; and Director of Fisheries, Dr. Shamila Monteiro were also present.
