Goa Jazz academy (GJA) will play hosts to visiting music students from Australia’s Queensland University of Technology (QUT) as part of an intensive collaborative student and cultural exchange between February 11-13.
A GJA media release stated that the QUT and GJA students will work closely through rehearsals, shared classes, and ensemble sessions, culminating in a final performance at the academy on the evening of February 13.
According to Divya Gupta, GJA co-founder, this collaboration focuses on performance practice, ensemble skills, and cross-cultural musical dialogue, offering students valuable first-hand experience of working within an international learning environment.
Says Gupta, “Through shared rehearsal processes and performance outcomes, participants will explore musical perspectives that extend beyond their regular curricula.”
