Central Bureau of Communication-Goa, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, will organise a five-day multimedia exhibition from 14th to 18th August; on various themes on the occasion of 78th Independence Day 2024 at Railway Station, Margao. The event is being organized in collaboration with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited. Margao MLA Digambar Kamat will inaugurate the exhibition at 11.30 AM on Wednesday.
The exhibition will feature immersive experiences on Partition Horror with VR reenactments, interactive displays on New Criminal Laws explaining the latest legislative changes, and rare photos of India’s Independence, apart from other audio-video elements. Creative digital content on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan will also be displayed at the event. The exhibition will be open to visitors from 10 AM to 8 PM till August 18.
As part of the programme, the CBC is also conducting a Rangoli Competition for members of women SHGs in South Goa. The competition will be held at the exhibition venue from 09.30 AM to 10.45 AM on Wednesday.
On August 16, an inter-school Quiz Competition will also be conducted for the students of high schools in South Goa district.
B B Nikam, Regional Railway Manager, Konkan Railway; Nana Meshram, Director, PIB Goa; Sunita Sawant, Superintendent of Police, South Goa, and Deepali Naik, Project Director, DRDA South Goa, will also attend the inaugural function.
