CHIEF MINISTER DR. PRAMOD SAWANT ANNOUNCES WORK IN PROGRESS ON PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES HOSTEL PROJECT, URGES PARENTS TO KEEP HEALTHY FRAME OF MIND

Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant graced the concluding ceremony of the ADIP Assessment Camp, a transformative initiative under the Swayampurna Goa campaign.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sawant emphasised the commitment of the government to the welfare of Persons with Disabilities. “We are working on the modalities of a hostel project to take care of Persons with Disabilities even after death of their parents,” announced the Chief Minister. He advised the parents of PwDs to take care of their own health and provide exposure to Divyangjan with the government authorities promising all support to further train the PwDs under Swayampurna Goa 2.0 initiative.

Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Guruprasad Pawaskar, Director for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities
Varsha Naik; Director of Skill Development Department, Vijay Saxena; Secretary, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Taha Haaziq were also present among others.

“This remarkable effort, covering all 12 talukas, reaffirms our commitment to inclusivity and dignity for every citizen, especially our Divyangjan brothers and sisters,” remarked the Chief Minister.
