CHODAN SUPER SCHOOL COMPLEX FOOTBALL: DAYANAND HIGH SCHOOL BEAT ST. ALOYSIUS HS IN FINAL

Dayanand High School, Chorao, defeated St. Aloysius High School, Diwar, 1-0 in the final of a 7-a-side Football League Tournament organised by the Chodan Super School Complex, led by Raghuvir & Premavati Salkar Higher Secondary School. St. Bartholomew’s High School-Chorao finished third.

The Football League Tournament, which was played between the member schools on 13th July at Saude grounds, Chorao; was sponsored by Pramod Salkar and Geeta Salkar.

Brijesh Nagvekar of Dayanand High School received both the Man of the Tournament and Man of the Final trophies.

Physical education teachers – Rohan Naik, Pranav Banawalkar, and Bony Vales, along with referee Chirag Kauthankar, were felicitated by the chief guest, Geeta Salkar. The physical education teacher of Raghuvir & Premavati Salkar HSS and tournament co-ordinator, Jaganath Ghatwal, was also honoured.

Salkar urged students to work hard, stay dedicated, and invest their time and energy to excel in both sports and academics. She encouraged Physical Education teachers to teach new techniques and skills in passing, defending, attacking, and goalkeeping.

Guest of Honour, Prashil Salkar praised the students’ dedication, noting that they played with full commitment despite heavy showers.

Premanand Mahambare, President of Chorao Educational Society, congratulated the students and emphasised the importance of football in skill-building and encouraged continued participation in sports.

Principal, Sandeep Sawal welcomed the guests, and teacher Luiza Pereira compered the prize distribution function and later proposed a vote of thanks. Dilip Fondekar, General Secretary of Chorao Educational Society, Shankar Chodankar, Manager of Salkar HSS, and Devika P. Salkar were also present.
