PANAJI: Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), Margao released a video on 23 June, 2022, at a launch ceremony, looking at the journey of the college since its inception, marking the day that the college commenced in 1962. The release of the video was done at the hands of the Vice-President of the Chowgule Education Society, Aditya Chowgule, who graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. The other dignitaries were Provost, Retd. Commdr. Parijat Sinha, Officiating Principal Dr. Shaila Ghanti, Vice-Principal Dr. Ananya Das; states a press release.
Aditya Chowgule congratulated the staff on the remarkable 60 years journey of the institute, and spoke of the rapid changes in the educational sector, and how new challenges needed to be embraced in the continuation of the legacy of the institute. He emphasised that the management is committed to the implementation of the National Education Policy, and how being an autonomous college there was an immense responsibility on the institute of being the change that was needed. He concluded by wishing the staff all the success for the events being organised through the year, and in the years to come.
The video concisely stitched together the long journey of the institute and its milestones -from its establishment in 1962, to the upgrade of its facilities to offer state-of-the-art infrastructure, to its recent A+ NAAC grade. Aditya Chowgule offered a letter of appreciation to the team behind the college video commemorating the completion of 60 years of the institute led by the in-house Tigers’ Studio’s Presley Fernandes (Editor & Videography), Pranesh Desai (Direction & Photography), Harshad Sawant (60 Years Commemorative Logo Design), scripted by Asst. Prof. Shubhankar Shah (Dept. of English), voiced by MA II English student, Gillian D’Costa. The entire event was planned and coordinated by Dr. Bhanumati Pilli, the convenor of Chowgule College @ 60 years commemoration and Dr Sachin Moraeis, the Co-convenor of the event.
