Bhashini Mobile App, which has been developed under the National Translation Mission, bridges communication gaps between the public and police personnel through multilingual translation.
With the ability to translate 12 Indian languages and 5 international languages, the app is now integrated into 54 Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs) deployed with Robots, Highway Patrol, Tourist Police Force, and Goa’s Exclusive Pink Force. 2,648 police personnel across all vigilance agencies in Goa have already downloaded the app to serve the public more efficiently.
To create greater awareness, Pink Force is conducting drives to educate the public on how to use the app to communicate with Goa Police in any language.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has hailed the application as “a significant step towards tech-enabled, inclusive, and citizen-centric policing!”
