COURT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM LAUNCHED; DEVELOPED BY GOA ELECTRONICS LTD, CMS TO BRING MORE TRANSPARENCY IN QUASI-JUDICIAL COURTS

MLA of Cumbharjua, Rajesh Faldessai in the presence of Minister for Law & Judiciary,  Aleixo Sequeira; launched Court Management System (CMS) developed by Goa Electronics Ltd. at Porvorim today.

Chief Secretary, Puneet Kumar Goel,IAS, Secretary (Law & Judiciary); Sandip Jacques, IAS, Secretary (Environment); Arun Kumar Mishra, IAS, Collector North, Dr.Sneha Gitte, IAS, Collector South,  Asvin Chandru A, IAS; Commissioner for Labour and Employment, Dr. Levinson Martins were also present.

The initiative of Department of Law and Judiciary, aims to ensure transparency and monitoring of cases in the quasi -judicial courts more efficiently across Goa.

Sequeira expressed that Court Management System will bring more transparency in the quasi-judicial courts and also help in better management of the cases thereby facilitating the people or litigants at large. Presently this CMS will be operational for 117 quasi- judicial courts in the State.

Sequeira also appealed to the Government Departments which have quasi-judicial courts, to put in efforts towards making CMS a great success. This unique system will definitely benefit common men in filing cases on online mode and follow up their cases wherein citizens will be intimated on the status of the cases via emails and SMS.

The CMS is a comprehensive online system developed by the Goa Electronic Ltd. for e-filing cases pertaining to quasi-judicial authorities. It will facilitate e-filing of cases , generating and downloading notices, roznama, generating cause lists, issuing certified judgement orders etc. The system will also assist administration to monitor
and take appropriate action on pendency of cases, if any.

In the first phase of CMS operations, 117 quasi–judicial authorities have been identified which prominently includes District Collectors, Additional Collectors, Deputy Collectors, Mamlatdars, Administrative Tribunals, Industrial Courts, Children’s Courts, Labour Courts, Goa State Human Rights Commission, Goa State Information Commission, Goa Police Complaints Authority, Lokayukta.
