Dr. Siddhi Kashinath Jalmi and Dr. Sangeeta Mahableshwar Naik have received prestigious research grant for a duration of three years under CSIR- ASPIRE, Government of India’s initiative to empower women.
Both the Goan scientists have been selected among a total of 300 women, from across 3000 proposals from all over India.
Dr. Jalmi is an Assistant Professor of Botany, at School of Biological Sciences & Biotechnology, Goa University.
Dr. Naik is an Assistant Professor of Marine Microbiology, at School of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences.
CSIR- ASPIRE scheme governs science and technology-based five research areas, namely – Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering Sciences, and interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary sciences.
