DEPARTMENT OF POSTS TO ORGANISE TWO-DAY PHILATELIC EXHIBITION IN PANAJI

The Department of Posts, Goa Postal Division, organised a curtain raiser ceremony at Tapal Bhavan, Panaji, heralding the upcoming GOAPEX 2025, the District-Level Philatelic Exhibition which is scheduled to be held at the Institute of Menezes Braganza, Panaji, on 28th and 29th November 2025.

The curtain was raised by the Chief Guest Ramesh P. Patil, Director, Postal Services, Goa Region, Panaji; officially unveiling the logo of GOAPEX 2025. The logo, designed around the theme “Goa-Gateway of Culture”, reflects the state’s rich traditions and its role as a cultural confluence.

Addressing the gathering, Ramesh P Patil said that philately continues to be a powerful educational tool, instilling knowledge, creativity, and cultural pride among youth. He also appealed to all philatelists to actively participate in the exhibition.

The department also felicitated Stuti Laxmikant Naik, Class 7th student from Shree Mahalasa Narayani High School, Verna, who won the Logo Design Competition for GOAPEX 2025 organised by the department.

At the event, the Prospectus of the GOAPEX 2025 was released, outlining the rules, regulations, and categories of participation for exhibitors. The inaugural Bulletin of GOAPEX 2025 was also unveiled, providing a glimpse into the exhibition highlights, articles, and upcoming events.

The Bulletin consists of one Logo Postcard [Mint] and one Picture Postcard on World Tourism Day [cancelled issue]. The sale prize of the Bulletin is Rs.350, and will be available for sale at Panaji Head Post Office.

Anurag Nikhare, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Goa Division, and Aslesh Kamat, President, Goa Philately and Numismatics Society, were also present at the event along with students, philatelists and Postal staff.
