FC GOA APPOINT NEW PRESIDENT & CEO

FC Goa, a prominent name in Indian football, is undergoing a significant change in its leadership structure. Akshay Tandon, the co-owner and guiding force as President, will be stepping back from his day-to-day operational duties. His fervour and dedication remain undeterred, as he will continue to remain passionately dedicated to the growth and success of FC Goa.

During his tenure as President, Akshay Tandon has presided over a transformative period in FC Goa’s history. Under his leadership, the Club made significant strides in youth development and grassroots football, emphasising the importance of nurturing local talent. FC Goa’s commitment to fostering the next generation of football stars has seen tremendous growth, with youth academies and initiatives flourishing under Tandon’s guidance.

“My journey with FC Goa has been one of pride and fulfillment. I am proud of what we have accomplished at FC Goa, particularly in our commitment to youth development and grassroots football,” said Akshay Tandon. “While I venture into diverse arenas, my heart and dedication remain embedded with FC Goa.”

In tandem with this transition, FC Goa is excited to announce that Nandan Piramal will be taking over as the President of the club and Ravi Puskur will be taking on a new and expanded role within the organisation as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Club. Piramal, known for his previous ownership and successful management of Pune FC in the I-League, is poised to lead the Club with a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience.

FC Goa owner Jaydev Mody commented, “We are delighted to have Nandan join our leadership team as President. His passion for the sport and his deep understanding of football’s impact on communities align perfectly with our vision for FC Goa.”

The Club remains steadfastly devoted to its passionate fans and to the pursuit of excellence on and off the football pitch and the new leadership team is aligned to ensure that the focus remains the same.

The Club’s ownership structure stands unaltered. Jaydev Mody, Virat Kohli and Akshay Tandon will retain their stakes, signifying their relentless commitment to the prosperous journey of FC Goa, stated a press release.
