As part of Fomento Lecture Series, Aruna Chakkirala (Lead AI Cloud Solutions Architect at Microsoft), delivered an insightful talk on the topic ‘Business Impact of AI and Building meaningful GenAI use cases’; at Goa University’s Goa Business School on Tuesday.
Aruna, who is the alumni of Goa University having earned her Masters in Computer Applications in Goa, highlighted the immense growth of Generative AI across various business domains. She advised the students to orient towards AI domain understanding in order to boost their human capabilities so as to create a bridge; thus boosting their job prospects.
Aruna admitted that it is not clear as to how AI growth will pan out in terms of job losses or more job opportunities, and this uncertainty is reflected amongst the students community.
With over two decades of expertise to back her, Aruna emphasised that the goal of ‘Responsible AI’ has been at the heart of her work. She also mentioned about the ongoing research opportunities in this sector.
Aruna is a patent holder and author of “Interpretability and Explainability in AI using Python.”
