Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant presented Konkani Literature and Language Service Awards of Goa Konkani Akademi (GKA) for Year 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 during the 37th Rajbhasha Dis (Official Language Day) of Goa on Sunday. GKA had organised the function at Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula.
“I congratulate all the esteemed awardees and thank them for their service towards the development of the Konkani language. The Government of Goa is committed to supporting the development of Konkani language and support to literature in the state,” stated the Chief Minister.
President of Sahitya Akademi, (New Delhi) Madhav Kaushik, Jnanpith Awardee, Damodar Mauzo, Acting President of GKA , Vasant Bhagwant Sawant, GKA Secretary, Meghna Shetgaonkar & others were also present.
