Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant stated that Goa will look to develop an identity of being a startup and AI hub as the state embarked on a journey to dig deep into the Artificial Intelligence sector with the Goa AI Mission 2027.
Along with the Chief Minister, IT Minister Rohan Khaunte addressed the media late on Monday night to reveal the development after a meeting with industry and academia representatives, in Panaji.
Khaunte remarked that Goa wants to be a pioneering state to contribute to IndiaAI Mission.
The Government of India, which approved IndiaAI Mission in 2024, has allocated Rs 10,300 crore over five years to strengthen AI capabilities in the country.
