GOA ANIMAL FEDERATION KEEN FOR REDUCING DOG OVERPOPULATION IN  SUSTAINABLE WAY

Goa Animal Federation (GAF) will hold a gathering on Sunday, 24th August 2025 at Azad Maidan, Panaji between 4pm to 5.30 pm.

The objective of the gathering is to thank Supreme Court of India and demand that Goa Government starts sterilization and vaccination of community dogs on a mass scale immediately to control their rising population. It invites all concerned citizens and stakeholders to join the gathering.

The Goa Animal Federation comprising leading animal welfare NGOs across the State, stand united in ensuring that Goa follows a lawful, scientific, and humane path that safeguards public safety while reducing dog overpopulation in a sustainable way.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Goa Animal Federation (GAF) Vice-President, Prakash W. Kamat met with visiting Chief Justice of India Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai and thanked him on behalf of GAF as well as animal and dog-lovers for the humane, practical and scientific order dated 22nd August 2025, of Supreme Court.

The CJI expressed his happiness and remarked that SC has come out with best possible solution taking various concerns and issues into consideration.
