Open Water Swimming Academy (OWSA) in association with the National Institute of Watersports (NIWS) and Goa Swimming Association, organised the inaugural Goa Aquatic Crown 2025 under the aegis of the Swimming Federation of India, at Caranzalem Beach over the weekend.
The OWSA team comprising its founder Surjeet Singh Dadiala; Rahul Chiplunkar, Subodh Sule, Pavitra Polikar and Bhavana Dadiala successfully navigated the debut year challenge; with around 600 swimmers from across the country marking an overwhelming response that also paves the way for a bigger and better event in 2026.
NIWS team including Manager (Training), ex-Navyman Ranjeet Singh and others put in lots of efforts to make the visitors’ experience pleasant and safe at sea.
Speaking to @LivenewsgoaTV, Surjeet Singh attributed the event’s success to the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants, parents, and the OWSA team.
Rahul Chiplunkar stated that the event also served as selection trials for the world aquatics championship 2025.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and Sports Minister, Govind Gaude graced the prize distribution ceremonies.
