Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant addressed the GST 2.0 Reforms Conference organised by Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Panaji on Monday.
The Chief Minister emphasised on GST Reforms set to simplify taxes, empower businesses, boost tourism & exports and bringing in an ease of living for citizens.
Dr. Sawant, who had also attended the GST Council meeting in New Delhi recently, highlighted the outcomes of the historic 56th GSTCouncil Meeting –
•Simplified GST slabs (5%,18%)
•GST relief on healthcare, insurance & life-saving drugs
•Faster processes benefiting entrepreneurs & businesses
•Major gains for exporters & Goa’s tourism sector
•Strong push for Swadeshi, Vocal for Local & Viksit Bharat 2047
GCCI President Pratima Dhond, industry leaders and stakeholders were also present for the GST 2.0 Reforms Conference.
